It's Buh's Channel, and He's Taking It Back
Hey cool kids-
I hope that your indoors summer and overall quarantine life is going splendidly! I wanted to make this post in regards to changes coming around on my Twitch Channel.
This blog post is not an upbeat or exciting one, but a post I feel must be made.
I'm a sucker for trying to make everyone happy all of the time. I also tend to have a hard time saying no. So at this point in time, I'm going to say it:
No.
Phew. Now that that's out of the way let's get down to it.
If I am playing a game, I'm going to play it! If you think the game is boring, or you are concerned about the impact it will have on "viewer numbers", you are more than welcome to check out other channels with games more to your liking! If you express you are bored/want me to change games/etc in the chat, you will be banned. Not timed out, banned.
Time outs are gone. People have only used them to bully certain individuals, and to specifically attack mods and for some reason nightbot.
My chat has always been an accepting one. It may sometimes get weird in funny ways, but it is no place for attacking others, or spreading sus or controversial content to or at others.
I won't be playing games with others on stream for a while, unless I have personally reached out to others prior to the stream, and not the other way around.
I've been on twitch nearly everyday for the entirety of this year. I want to enjoy my own space, create the content I want to, and do things how I want- especially in a space where I spend days of my life at a time.
There are TONS of streamers on Twitch. I love the community that I have and how it's growing. At this point though I'm taking my channel back. If you are unhappy with anything I am doing, if these new rule changes are too much, I welcome you to explore the site. Find a different community that you blend in with.
Thank you for reading this. Thank you for being a part of the channel. Thank you all for the support and care.
Cheers,
Kyle (BuhDihKuh) Arneson
