Where you are, is where I am

I've finally been getting more gigs, and it is an amazing feeling to play live again. I'm really so appreciative of all the inviting people that give me the opportunity.

For those of you that follow me on Instagram, you'll know that I occasionally post the top ten cities that my music is most recently played in.

What you may not know is the awe and joy I feel knowing that it's being played in new places far and wide. When I check in and see the new top cities, I actually sit down and look up the towns on google maps. I look around the area, and I wonder what life is like there. Have I made an impact on someone new in a new place? Was it just a one off cause Spotify suggested it and they gave it a shot?

Things have been very up and down in my life lately. If I'm being quite honest, more in the down. The one thing in my life that's always been an escape is music. When you listen, it really lets me know that I'm not doing this for nothing.

If it's closer, like cities in SoCal, I honestly scour for venues in that area. The hope shines in me, and gives me drive. If by some chance you enjoy what I create and are in SoCal, or even within a 2 hour radius and want me to come perform I'm there. You can also send me suggestions through my contact section of my website.

With all that said, the main point of this post is a thank you. We all have some things that we're going through. I hope that what I create can help you get through your own troubles and trials.

It makes me happy that even though this photo is of me on a familiar stage, all I see is the stickers to the side. More specifically, my own sticker next to a very good friend's band. - The Zinfandels.

If it weren't for them bringing me on in the first place once I landed here in SoCal, I probably would have had no idea where to start.

A lot goes to say about the music scene down here. It's certainly a completely different ballgame than it was in Minneapolis. Not to mention Maryland or D.C.- I do miss playing those stages as well.

While I continue to figure out who I am, what I'm meant to do in life, and where I'm meant to be. I just want to say thank you. To those that support me on Twitch, Those who are still listening on streaming platforms, and even my wonderful girlfriend who drives across LA just to see me play a single song at an open mic.

Dreaming is hard, believing is harder, and pursuing a dream is the hardest. Love who you meet, love who you know. You never know how much longer they'll be in your life. Every moment is a moment worth sharing. See it through to the bitter end.

Until next time you crazy kids.

Signed,

Your Favorite Folk Punk Nobody

Kyle (BuhDihKuh) Arneson
