In Regards To The Massive DMCA Strike Against Twitch.

Hi Everyone.

I hope that all of you are having a wonderful day.

I'm making this post because of a valid point that has been brought to my attention about my Twitch channel, and the deletion of all clips.

Recently, the entire Twitch site was hit with a massive DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) strike. This means that a representative of the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) has filed a claim upon thousands of clips from creators across the website from over the past nearly 3 years.

Twitch has always had ToS in place against the use of music not owned by the Streamer, especially in clips, highlights, and past broadcasts.

Over the past few years my channel has amassed a large number of clips. Clips from both myself, and wonderful viewers/supporters of the channel. These clips held many fond memories for myself, and the viewers. There has been a lot of changes, history, and more throughout the channel since it's beginning.

Which is why I wanted to make this post as a means of not only explanation, but to show my sincerest apologies for the deletion of all clips.

I wanted to make it known that they were, by no means, carelessly swept away. They weren't removed due to my wants, or to undermine my appreciation for the time spent by viewers/supporters/friends to create memories along side me and the experiences we've had over the years on Twitch.

The first advisory steps given by Twitch were to simply simply remove those clips.

But with the constant combing of channels, and with so many clips, their next advice (along side many other streamers) was to simply remove all clips.

Going through the clips, I honestly didn't know what could peg me wrongly, or have strikes against me. If I have 3 strikes, my channel will be permanently taken down.

There were clips of me covering music, using reaction songs from a soundboard, and even music uploaded by others into video games I played such as Dreams for the Playstation 4.

I've poured my heart and soul into creating daily content and streams for my channel. I've dedicated years of my life to this, and I don't intend to stop.

This is why I made the decision to delete all clips. I love what I do, and with the simple risk of 3 clips having the ability to earn me 3 separate strikes, I did what I believed to be the best choice for moving forward with the channel.

So I wanted to apologize to all the clippers of the channel. Please know that I understand your disappointment, as they were all memories I helped to create and have now lost as well.

There is still a bright side!

Though the clips are gone, it gives security in knowing that I will be able to continue streaming for years to come. It means that we will be able to create new clips, new memories, and new experiences together.
